James C. Deblin, 71, Liberty Center, died Monday evening at the Northcrest Nursing Home of Napoleon.
Born in Napoleon on Nov. 26, 1918, he was the son of William and Ella (Eggers) Deblin. On June 23, 1943, he married Virginia Hudon, and she survives.
A retired foreman with Napoleon Products, he was a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, and the Henry County Sportsmen’s Club.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mindi Burton of Delta; a son, Randy of Napoleon; two brothers, George of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Robert of Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Mary Thompson of Ridgeville Corners and JoAnn Foster of Napoleon; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Liberty Center, Rev. William Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Youngs Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be accorded by the American Legion and V.F.W. of Liberty Center.
Friends may call at the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center after 7 p.m. today and after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
