Davis Farm Services President Jerry Davis of Liberty Center died Friday afternoon in the Henry County Hospital at the age of 50.
Born in Liberty Center to Harold R. and Bertha (Barlow) Davis on June 27, 1941, he had been the owner and president of Davis Farm Services, Inc., since February of 1973, with offices in Liberty Center, Okolona and Delta.
He was a member of the Liberty Center Boosters, where he had previously served as its president, the Liberty Center Historical Society and the Ohio Agri-Business, Ohio Grain & Feed, National Fertilizer Solution and National Agri-Chemicals Retail associations. He was a former member of the Liberty Center Rotary.
On June 3, 1961, he married Karen Huber, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Kurt of Liberty Center; a daughter, Kelly Bodenbender of Liberty Center; his mother, in Liberty Center; three brothers, Kenneth, Milt and Terry, all of Liberty Center; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Rev. Jerry Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at the Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wright Funeral Home in Liberty Center after 2 p.m. today.
The family has suggested that memorials be made to the Liberty Center Historical Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
