Jean E. Davis, 61, of Liberty Center, died Saturday at Henry County Hospital.
Born on Feb. 24, 1933, in Florida, Ohio, she was the daughter of Frank and Amelia (Huber) Armbruster. She married Robert J. Davis on Oct. 24, 1953, who survives.
She was the clerk for the Village of Liberty Center for 12 years and she retired in 1989 . She was also a member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge Auxiliary, Napoleon.
Also surviving are two sons, Tom Davis of Napoleon, and Jon ‘Pete’ Davis of Liberty Center; three daughters, Suzette Hamlin of Ridgeville Corners, Peg Brown of Napoleon, and Robin Davis of Liberty Center; three brothers, Don Armbruster of Napoleon, Harold Armbruster of Tucson, Ariz., and Kenneth Armbruster of Napoleon; two sisters, Helen Bostelman of Holgate , and Evelyn Palmer of Napoleon; four granddaughters; two step-grandsons: and one step-great-grandson.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Virginia Hitts.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Dr. John Daniels of Christ United Methodist Church, Napoleon, officiating.
Visitation will be after 7 p.m. Monday and after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
