Rosa M. Meek was born in Liberty Township, Henry county, Ohio, January 26, 1870. Her parents having died when she was a child, she lived with her brother and sister until the 24th of June 1894, when she was united in marriage with William F. Daum. To this union there were born five children, four of whom are living. Mr. and Mrs. Daum lived their married life together until April 29, 1921, when the husband was called to the world beyond.
Deceased moved to Liberty Center where she resided until August 4th, 1923, when she went to visit her daughter, Mrs. Albert Yackee, near Napoleon. There she was taken sick and confined to her bed until March 8, 1924, when she passed away at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 11 days.
Mrs. -Daum was a dutiful wife and an attentive mother. She was cheerful in health and patient and hopeful in times of suffering. Her life was one of love and kindness.
There are left to mourn two daughters, Mrs. Albert Yackee, of Napoleon and Mrs. Lance Yaney, of Liberty Center, two sons, George and Clarence, of Toledo, three grandchildren, a brother, David E. Meek, of Paulding, and a sister, Mrs. Flora Cummins, of Holgate, also a host of other relatives and friends.
The children are very grateful to those who have rendered assistance at this time of bereavement.
Funeral services were held at the church in Liberty Center, Monday at 2 P. M., Rev, A. B. Albertson of Rossford, officiating, assisted by Rev. Beaschler. Interment was made in Young’s cemetery.
