Obituary
Iva Fay, daughter of Frank L. and Ida J. Hahn, was born in Liberty township, Henry county, O., April 23, 1886. Her childhood life was spent with her parents on their farm from which she attended country school and the Liberty Center high school. In the spring of 1905 she graduated and took up the work of telephone operator at the Mutual Telephone Co., Liberty Center. She served this company faithfully until her marriage with Charles Irvin Daum on Aug. 3, 1910.
They spent all their married life in Liberty Center except for seventeen years spent in Hamler, O., at which place she also won many friends.

She held various offices in the Woman’s Society of Christian Service and the Philathean class. She was affiliated with the Rebekah and Eastern Star organizations, being a Past Matron, Past Noble Grand, and a district representative of the Rebekahs. To these and to her home she gave of her best in life.
In January of 1954 she was stricken with that disease which proved fatal on May 27, 1954. At her departure she leaves to carry on: her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Belleville, and husband; two granddaughters, Celia Jeanne and Charlene; a sister, Mrs. Vivian Spiess, and a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
