Funeral services for Dena E. Daum, 77, of 522 Beckham Street, Napoleon, will be conducted Sunday, 2 p.m., at Walker Mortuary. The Reverend H. Glenn Crabtree, St. Paul United Methodist Church, will officiate, and interment will be in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Mrs. Daum died early Thursday morning in Heller Memorial Hospital. She had been the co-owner and operator of Daum's Motel, Napoleon, since 1930.
Born July 24, 1903, in Defiance County, she was the daughter of Charles and Lulu (Mitchell) Glore. On June 2, 1925, she married George H. Daum, who survives, and they lived at the Beckham Street address tor 55 years.
A member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Napoleon, the deceased was a member of its Daughters of Ruth Sunday School class and the United Methodist Women’s Society.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Ruth) Plummer, Napoleon; a brother, Ralph, Defiance; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Dennie, Napoleon, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Clara and Jean; two brothers, Carl and Charles, and a sister, Caroline Keller.
Friends may call at Walker Mortuary today, 7 to 9 p.m. or Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests any memorials be made to the church or the Henry County Heart Fund.
