Ruby Creager, 96, of Liberty Center, died early this morning at Henry County Hospital.
Born Sept. 14, 1900, in Toledo, she was the daughter of Lyman and Ethyl (Redfield) Benskin. On June 10, 1922, she married Ralph Young, who preceded her in death in 1923. On Aug. 24, 1925, she married Fred Creager, who preceded her in death in 1960.
She was a school teacher in country schools in the Liberty Center area in 1920 and 1921. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and of the Gleaners. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the Gilbert Baughman American Legion Post of Liberty Center.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph Jr. of Liberty Center and Bruce of Fort Meyers Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center. Interment will be at Young's Cemetery of Liberty Center.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be made to The Friends of Liberty Center Library or the Liberty Center Fire Department.
