Mrs. Julia Ann Creager, the child of William and Matilda Pugh, was born Aug. 13, 1860, in Fairfield county; O. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed by the Lutheran church at the age of 12. In 1883 she was united in marriage to William Creager, also of Fairfield county. To this union were born three sons, Harry G. Creager of Hamler, O., Pearl R. Creager of Napoleon, Fred R. Creager of Liberty Center, O, and two daughters, Mrs. C. E. Johnson of Bowling Green, O., and Mrs. Roy Robinson of Shamrock, Sask., Canada. All her children are still living.
Death came to Julia Ann Creager on Saturday morning, Dec. 31, at 10:15 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. E. Johnson at Bowling. Green, O. Mrs. Creager's health had been failing since the death of her husband two years ago. During the last four weeks of her life she was confined to her bed. Death was caused by heart trouble. She died at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 18 days.
Her husband preceded her in death two years ago. She leaves to mourn, one brother, three sons, two daughters, twenty-eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a multitude of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at St. Paul’s Lutheran church In Liberty Center Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Matthias officiating. Interment was made in Young's cemetery.
