Mrs. Helena Lucille Wilcox, 50, died Sunday at her home in Liberty Center after a long illness.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley; sons, Herbert, of Toledo; Robert and Clifford, of Archbold; brothers, Earl Jewell, Bowling Green; Walter, of West Unity; sister, Mrs. Niel Kirian, of Toledo, and six grandchildren.
She was a member of the Union Rebekah lodge, Pythian Sisters, and the Church of Christ.
Services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Walter funeral home and at 2 p.m. in St. John’s Reformed church, the Rev. Wayne Goldsmith officiating. Burial was in Young's cemetery.

Helena Lucille Wilcox, daughter of William and Alvaria Jewell, was born in Belmore, O. on March 7, 1904, and passed away Dec. 6, 1954 at her home In Liberty Center, O. at the age of 50 years, 8 months and 28 days.
Helena had been ill many months preceding her death. She was an associate of the Pythian Sisters, Rebekahs, and a rural organization known as the Gleaners.
On Dec. 7, 1921, Helena was married to Stanley Wilcox, who constantly labored and strived to make the home a happy one, and to relieve as best man could the pains of his suffering companion without respect of cost or labor.
To this union were born three sons: Herbert Wilcox, of Toledo; Robert Wilcox, of Archbold, and Clifford Wilcox of Archbold, all of whom tried through applied effort and words of comfort to both help their suffeting mother and aid their father in the load which he was trying tirelessly to carry.
Mrs. Wilcox also had six grandchildren, three sisters, two of them preceding her in death, and two brothers. The names of the living brothers and sisters are as follows: Mrs. Neil Kirian of Toledo, Earl Jewell of Bowling Green. Walter Jewell of West Unity.
