Enlisted in the 100-day service, returned home and enlisted again and served through the entire civil war. He received an honorable discharge. After the war in 1865 he moved with his family to Liberty Center, O., where he lived until his death, Aug. 9th, 1915, aged 84 yrs., 3 mo. and 6 days.
He was united in marriage to Delila Boyce, Oct. 11th, 1853, and to this union was born four children, all preceding him to the other world but one, Revillow R., who resides with his family at Wauseon, O.

He was not sick or a sufferer, but gradually grew weaker and weaker until on the morning of August 9th he seems to have gone to sleep and did not waken, but passed away without a struggle, simply slept away, a peaceful sleep.
A number of years ago he united with the Methodist Church. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge No. 518, and Addison Clark Post No. 151, G. A. R.
He leaves two sisters and many relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
The funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Rev. J. C. Crider officiating, and the Masonic Ritual service was conducted by the officers of that lodge.
