Harold Gaston Conrad July 17, 1918 - Oct. 14, 2001
Harold Conrad, 83, of Liberty Center died Sunday afternoon at Northcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Napoleon.
Born July 17, 1918, in Grelton, he was the son of Harvey and Gale (Eaton) Conrad. He married Gertrude Moore, who survives.
He worked at the Liberty Center Elevator for 39 years, retiring in 1980. He was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Army.
He is also survived by two daughters, Linda Jones of Liberty Center and Lucille Massau of Wauseon; two sons, Larry of Wauseon and Lowell of Liberty Center; a brother, Ralph of Toledo; a sister, Pauline Tobias of Hamler; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center, Pastor David MacDonald officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery of Liberty Center, where military honors will be conducted by the Liberty Center American Legion and V.F.W.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be made to Colton United Methodist Church or the Parkinson's Foundation.
