Chancy Connolly, Sr., 80, McAllen, Texas, a former resident of Napoleon, died this morning (Wednesday) in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alice Campbell, Ypsilanti, Michigan.
He was born October 9, 1895, in Liberty Center, the son of James and Minerva (King) Connolly. On August 15, 1917, he married Kathryn Myers and she survives.
The deceased was a retired farmer. He farmed for 50 years in Henry County and in January 1976 he moved to McAllen, Texas. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Napoleon.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Dr. Chancy Connolly, Jr., McAllen, Texas, and Dr. J. E. Connolly, Franklin Park, Illinois; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Campbell, Ypsilanti, Michigan; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, with Reverend Norman Newman officiating.
Interment will be made in the Young Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends may call at the mortuary, Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Henry County Heart Association.
