Ray Clifton, one of the community’s best known and liked residents, passed away July 4.
Ray Clifton, son of the late David and Jemima (Hoffman) Clifton, was born Feb. 16, 1884, and departed this life July 4, 1949 at the age of 55 years, 4 months and 18 days. He had suffered from a heart ailment for a long period of time.
He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and was a well-liked neighbor and friend.
Surviving are his wife, Mazy; son, Marion, of Holland; sisters, Mrs. Margie Shock, Liberty Center, and Mrs. Ethel Bernath, Toledo; three grandchildren and other relatives arid friends.
Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 from the home and at 2 o’clock from the Methodist church with Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial in Young’s cemetery.
