H. Lester Clapp, 73, well known Napoleon resident, died Thursday in his home at this place.
From 1920 to 1933, Mr. Clapp worked for M. E. Loose, Napoleon banker. From 1933 to 1945 he worked at the old Boyer Mortuary and until his retirement in 1948 worked for Tony’s Bakery.
He wan a member of the Presbyterian Church and IOOF Lodge and for many years was secretary of the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Imo; daughter, Mrs. Lois Cuff, Waterville; sisters, Mrs. Eugenia Fredrick, Delta; Mrs. Lena Carpenter, Liberty Center; brother, John, Liberty Center, and one grandchild
Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Walker Mortuary, with burial in Young’s Cemetery, Liberty Center.
