Beatrice Chambers, 77, of Liberty Center, was dead on arrival Tuesday morning at Defiance Hospital after a one-car accident in Defiance County.
She was born Beatrice Musselman on February 28, 1907, in Fairfield County, Virginia, and her mother was the former May Powell. She married Gordon Chambers, and he survives.
Mrs. Chambers had formerly been a nurse's aide at Henry County Home and a machine operator for Napco in Napoleon. She was a retired employee of the Henry County Senior Center and a participant at the Senior Center. She also volunteered at Henry County Hospital.
Surviving, besides her husband, are three sons, Robert, of Steubenville; Richard, of Cridersville, and Daniel, of Liberty Center; two daughters, Mrs. James Dershem, of Stowe, and Mrs. Elmer (Shirley) Hall, of Muskegum, Michigan; a brother, William, of La Puenta, California; a sister, Edna, and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, 3:30 p.m., at Croll-Wright Funeral Home in Liberty Center. The Reverend David Brown of Shiloh Christian Union Church will officiate, and burial will be in Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today and all day Thursday at the funeral home. The family suggests any memorials be made to Henry County Hospital.
