Obituary:
Homer A. Carver, 77, died suddenly on Monday at his Deshler home.
Born March 10, 1906, in Delta, he was the son of Lewis and Jennie (Zollers) Carver. He married Edna Lindhorst on October 4, 1925, and she preceded him in death on July 12, 1980. On June 27, 1981, he married Edna Tietje Lindhorst, and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Carolyn) Weis, Liberty Center; a son, Herbert, of St. Petersburg, Florida; a brother Dewey, of Bowling Green; four sisters, Mrs. Muriel Reed, Mrs. Elwood (Carrie) Weaver and Mrs. Harry (Eva) Koder, all of Wauseon, and Mrs. Edna Chambers, Toledo; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A brother, Ray, and two sisters, Opal Busch and Verna, preceded him in death.
Mr. Carver, formerly a Liberty Center resident, was a self-employed carpenter, and he retired in 1969. He was a member of Deshler Senior Citizens Club and attended Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler.
Services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Croll-Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center. The Reverend Robert Swearer of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, will officiate, and burial will be in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Calling hours at the funeral home begin at 2 p.m., Wednesday. The family suggests any memorials be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church organ fund, Immanuel Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
