Charles Clarence Carpenter, son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Carpenter, was born in Liberty township, Henry county, O., on June 8, 1890, and departed this life to inherit a greater on June 15, 1954, in his home at the age of 64 years and 7 days, following a long illness.
On Oct 16, 1919, he was united in marriage to Miss Lena Clapp, and to this union was born one son, Merlin, of Jackson, Mich.
Mr. Carpenter was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Pilgrim Holiness, church.
Many enjoyed his faithfulness to his work, and also his contented manner of a humble life.
He leaves to mourn his passing a devout Christian wife, one son and one grandson, and a host of relatives and friends.
