Harold Martin Burgoon, 53, died at his home in Liberty Center Tuesday following an extended illness.
He owned and operated a restaurant here for several years and also was a retail shoe salesman for the past ten years for the Knapp Shoe Co.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, to whom he was married on Sept. 10, 1933; two children, Mary Lou, of Liberty Center, and Donald, of Delta. He is also survived by one grandson, Michael Ray, and two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Fredrick and Mrs. Lester Fredrick, both of Liberty Center.
Walter’s Mortuary is in charge arrangements. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Walter Mortuary with the Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial will be in Young's Cemetery.
Friends may call any time Thursday and Friday at the funerar home.

Harold Martin Burgoon, son of the late Martin and Mary (Sworden) Burgoon was born in Liberty Township, Henry County, O., on May 26, 1905, and departed this life following an illness of about a year at his home in Liberty Center on July 1, 1958. He had attained the age of 53 years, one month and six days.
On Sept. 19. 1933 he was united in marriage with Margaret Heckler and to this union were born two children, Mary Lou and Donald.
Harold was a lifelong resident of this vicinity and for the past ten years was a retail shoe salesman for the Knapp Shoe Co. He had built and operated his own restaurant and had previously been employed by the State Highway Department.
He took pride in his own appearance and in the upkeep of his own property. He will be sadly missed by those near and dear to him.
Surviving besides the companion of almost 25 years and the children above named is one grandson, Michael Ray; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Fredrick and Mrs. Lester Fredrick, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted from Walter's Funeral Home on Saturday, July 5, 1958 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial was in Young's Cemetery.
