Funeral services for Stella Burdue, 71, of 719 Maryann, Liberty Center were held Wednesday afternoon at the Liberty Center Wesleyan Church with the Rev. David L. Fruth, officiating.
She died Sunday, Nov. 9 in Defiance at the home of her daughter, Judy Stetter.
She was born at Holgate on May 24,1904, the daughter of George and Myrtle (Greeno) Waxler. On May 5, 1921 she married Clyde Burdue who preceded her in death in 1961.
She was a member of the Gold Star Mothers and the L.C. Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include four sons: George, McClure, Gail, Bossier City, La., Clyde Jr., Liberty Center and Jerry, Napoleon, seven Daughters, Mrs. Don (Donna) McEwen, Cygnet; Mrs. James (Betty) Good, Ridgeville Corners; Mrs. Chas. (Judy) Stetter, Defiance, Mrs. Gene (Patsy) Stetter, Liberty Center, Mrs. James (Mary) Stetter, liberty Center, Mrs. Nick (Lois) Kozumplick, Ney and Florence Burdue, California. Two sons, James and Guy, two sisters and four grandchildren preceded her in death. There are 37 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Interment was made in Young’s Cemetery, with the Croll-Wright Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
