Clyde Burdue, 69, of 719 Mary resident of Liberty Center died Monday at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, O.
Mr. Burdue was a lifelong resident of Liberty Center. He was employed at Foster Cannery, Napoleon.
Surviving are his wife, Stella Mae, mother, Katie Mae Burdue, daughters, Patsy, Judy, Mary and son Jerry, residing at home; daughters, Mrs. Betty Good, Napoleon; Mrs. Donna McEwen, Elmore; Miss Florence Burdue, LaMesa, Calif.; Mrs. Lois Kozumplick, Bryan. Sons, Gail Burdue, Tampa, Fla.; George Burdue, McClure; Clyde Burdue Jr., Napoleon, and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Pilgrim Holiness Church Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Goldsmith officiating. Interment will be at Young Cemetery.

We now close the life book of Clyde M. Burdue, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Burdue. Clyde was born June 21, 1901 in Colton, O., and passed away in Riverside Hospital on Feb. 27, 1961 following: an illness of several months. He was 69 years, 6 months and 6 days old.
On July 6, 1921 he was united in marriage to Stella Waxler and 13 children were born to this union: Mrs. Lois Kozumplick, Bryan; James Burdue, who preceded his father in death on Jan. 20, 1959; Guy Burdue, who also preceeded his father in death on March 18, 1946 in France; Miss Florence Burdue of Lanisa, Calif.; George Burdue of McClure, Gale Burdue of Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Betty Good of Napoleon, Mrs. Donna McEwen of Belmore, Clyde Burdue Jr., of Napoleon, Jerry, Patsy, Judith and Mary Burdue, at home.
He leaves to mourn besides his wife and children, his mother Mrs. Katie Burdue of Liberty Center and 18 grandchildren.
