Clyde Burdue Jr., 53, of Liberty Center died Monday evening at the Henry County Hospilal.
Born in Liberty Center Dec. 20, 1939, he was the son of Clyde Sr. and Stella Mae (Waxler) Burdue. On June 19, 1960, he married Donna Bankey, and she survives.
He had first worked in maintenance at the Campbell Soup Co., and for the past 25 years was a forklift operator with Clevite Elastomers. He was a member of the Liberty Center Athletic Boosters and a former Liberty Center volunteer fireman.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jody Okuley of Leipsic; three sons, Thomas of Napoleon and Todd and Chad, both of Liberty Center; two brothers, Gail of Bossier City, La., and Jerry of Liberty Center; seven sisters, Donna McEwen of Cygnet, Ohio, Betty Good and Mary Stetter, both of Napoleon, Judy Stetter of Toledo, Patsy Meyers of Defiance, Lois Kozumplick of Ney and Florence Burdue of the state of California; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Guy and George.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a .m. in the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center. Interment will be at the Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the Liberty Center Rescue Squad or a charity of the donor's choice.
