Edna Bryan, 95, of Liberty Center died this morning at Northcrest Nursing Home of Napoleon.
Born July 20, 1905, in Liberty Center, she was the daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Holford) Hoffman. On Feb. 12, 1927, she married Jett Bryan, who preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1980.
She earned her teaching degree after graduating from Bowling Green Normal School and she taught for 20 years. She worked at a post office in a hardware store in Toledo and co-owned Bryans Cash & Carry Grocery Store of Liberty Center with her husband. She was a member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Henry County Retired Teachers Association, American Legion Auxiliary of Liberty Center and was a former member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association and Order of the Easter Star in Liberty Center, where she was a past matron.
She was also preceded in death by a foster daughter, Christine Cunningham; a sister, Irene LaPlante; and an infant brother.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center, Rev. Martin Denes officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery of Liberty Center.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
