Obituary:
D. C. Bryan, 57, of 824 Pierce St., Maumee, operator of the Bryan Printing Co., died early today in his home.
Born in Liberty Center, O., Mr. Bryan lived in Maumee 34 years.
Mr. Bryan, a pressman, and his wife, Georgia, a compositor, first began the job printing work at the shop in the rear of their home as a hobby, but during the depression turned it into a full time business.
Although Mr. Bryan had been confined to a wheel chair since 1940, he continued work in the shop, aiding his wife in operation of the press and other details.
He was a member of Northern Light Lodge, F. & A. M.
Also Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Richard Beck, Maumee; sister, Mrs. Vane Saul, Liberty Center; brothers, Arthur and Jett, Liberty Center, and two grandchildren.
The body will be in the Bryan home where the Rev. R. Malcolm Ward, rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, will conduct services at 11 a.m. Thursday, followed by services in Liberty Center Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Young's Cemetery, Liberty Center.
