Henry Waldo Bresler, son of Simon and Hattie Bresler, was born on a farm near Amanda, O., Oct. 2, 1871, and passed away at his home in Liberty Center, Saturday, Dec. 18, 1952, aged 81 years, 2 months, and 11 days.
On Aug. 30, 1891, Mr. Bresler was united in marriage to Eva M. Elder, who departed this life on Sept. 19, 1897. One daughter, Frances Fay, was born to this union.
On April 2, 1899, Mr. Bresler was united in marriage to Estella Graffice, nee Whiteman. To this union another daughter, Helen Gladys, was born.
Mr. Bresler followed the occupation of farming most of his life. In 1901 he moved with his family from Seneca county to a farm in northwest Liberty township. In 1911 he entered the elevator and feed business in Wauseon. In 1916 he moved back to his farm where he remained until 1920 when the family moved to Liberty Center and the present residence.
After moving to Liberty Center Mr. Bresler engaged in the insurance business and became a director of the Liberty Center Bank. He was always an active and hard working man. Mr. Bresler took great pride in the raising of chickens, fruit and garden produce until a year ago when failing health forced him to forego that activity.
In April 1949 Mr. and Mrs. Bresler were privileged to enjoy their 50th wedding anniversary.
Surviving, besides his wife, Estella, are two daughters; Mrs. Grant Fouty of Thorndale, Texas; Mrs. John Yackee of Napoleon, O.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Herma Murray, of Liberty Center; one sister, Bertha Soule, of Cleveland; one brother, Kirby Bresler, Amanda, O.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Kathryn Singleton, and one great-granddaughter, Judy Singleton, of Kersville, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Mrs. Grace Minnich, of Bowling Green, O.; Ford Murray, of Muskegon, Mich.; four step-great-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces, besides other relatives and a host of friends.
Mr. Bresler had formerly been a member of the Liberty Chapel church and when they removed to Liberty Center he and Mrs. Bresler transferred their membership to the Methodist church. During the building of the church in 1920 and 1921 Mr. Bresler donated considerable work and his interest had been in the present rebuilding and improvement program.
Funeral services were conducted from the home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial was made in Young’s cemetery.

Hcnry Bresler Dies After Long Illness
Henry W. Bresler, 82, former businessman and farmer, died Saturday in his home here after a long illness.
Mr. Bresler was originally a farmer and then operated a grain elevator and feed store in Wauseon from 1911 to 1917. He then resumed farming until 1920, when he moved to Liberty Center to operate an insurance agency. He was formerly a director of the Liberty State Savings Bank.
Surviving are his wife, Estella; daughters, Mrs. Herma Murray, Liberty Center; Mrs. Frances Fouty, Thorndale, Texas, and Mrs. Gladys Yackee, Napoleon; brother, Kirby Lancaster; O.; sister, Mrs. Bertha Soule, Cleveland; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the residence, Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial was in Young’s cemetery.
