George C. Bressler, 74, of Liberty Center died Sunday morning at his home.
Born in McClure Oct. 17, 1916, he was the son of George and Viola (Beavers) Bressler. On June 21, 1941, he married Virginia Bachman, and she survives.
A lifelong farmer, he was also a 16-year employee of the Campbell Soup Co., retiring from that company in 1981. He attended the Archbold Church of the Nazarene.
Also surviving are four sons, Gary of Delta, Rev. Brian Bressler of Archbold, Bradley of Sycamore, 111., and Roger of Toledo; a brother, Walter of Liberty Center; three sisters, Dorothy Schaechterly of Wauseon and Goldie Peabody and Flossie Peabody, both of Delta; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Clyde Beavers; and a grandson, Jeff Bressler.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Rev. Brian Bressler officiating. Interment will be in the Young Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
