Amelia ‘Blondie’ Brell, 77, of Liberty Township in Henry County, died early Wednesday evening at The Lutheran Home, Napoleon.
Born in York Township of Fulton County on June 11, 1913, she was the daughter of John and Margaret (Kretz) Gineman. On March 8, 1934, she married Henry Brell, and they farmed in Liberty Twp. for a number of years. He preceded his wife in death on April 3, 1971.
She was a member of SL Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon.
Surviving are a son, John of Liberty Twp.; two daughters, Rosemary Phillips of Genoa, Ohio, and Judith Hines of Bloomdale, Ohio; four sisters, Mildred Manor of Port Orange, Fla., Emma Swartzlander of Napoleon, Margaret Gustwiller of Custar, Ohio, and Rita Rittichier of Wauseon; and six grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Elizabeth Bishop, on Dec. 14, 1989.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon, Revs. Norm Koy, Gilbert Schillinger and Steven Chellew officiating. Interment will be in Young Cemetery, Liberty-Center.
Friends may call at The Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday.
