David K. Bowker was born in Columbiana County, O., in 1839 and died at his home in Liberty Center, Jan. 14, 1897. He was in his 60th year. At the outbreak of the Civil War he enlisted in Co. D, 14th OVVI and held the rank of captain when mustered out at Louisville, Ky., in 1865. At the: close of the war he came to Henry County and was married to Ordille Ennes. She died in 1871 and in 1873 he married Jemima Powell. He was mayor of Liberty Center at the time of his death.
