Thelma Mary Bowers, wife of Everett E. Bowers, of Liberty Center, was born on April 17, 1899, at Anderson, Ind., the daughter of the late Ben and Lucy Davis, and departed this life after an extended illness on Jan. 27, 1953, expressing patience and faith to the end. She had attained the age of 53 years and nine months.
On Feb. 25, 1917, she was united in marriage with Everett Earl Bowers, and to this union were born one daughter and three sons..
Mrs. Bowers was a member of the Methodist church and of the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are the husband, Everett; the daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Beatrice) Miller, of Toledo; the three sons, Paul, of Toledo; Glen of Ai, and Kenneth, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Doris Hummel and Mrs Marie King, of Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. Ethel Pengry of Chicago; one brother, arley Davis, of Pendleton, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Janice, Melvin and Edward Miller; Johnnie and Richard Bowers; Linda and Gary Bowers, and other relatives and friends.
Services were conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the Methodist church, with the Rev. Davil L. Eichar officiating. Burial was in Young's cemetery.

Mrs. Thelma Bowers died Tuesday in her home after a long illness. She was 53.
Mrs. Bowers, a former officer of the Order of Eastern Star, also was a member of the Methodist church.
