Mrs. Gladys G. Bowers, 88, Liberty Center, died Saturday at Heller Memorial Hospital, Napoleon, following a short illness.
Born August 21, 1890, in Henry County, she was the daughter of Bennett Kiger and Laura Lebar.
The deceased was a former employee of Wauseon Manufacturing and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Liberty Center, and the World War II Mothers.
She married Delof Bowers, and he died in 1967.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George (Pauline) Yanpy and Mrs. Ted (Bonnie) Mohler, both of Liberty Center, Mrs. Carl (Treva) Keeler, Vestaburg, Michigan, and Mrs. Paul (Jane) Rovnon, Waterville; three sons, Howard J., Liberty, Indiana, Reverend William C., Danbury, and Vernon J., Toledo; one sister, Mrs. Oneita Overmire, Liberty Center; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held January 1 at Croll-Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Reverend William C. Bowers officiating. Interment was made in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Memorials may be given to the Heart Association or the Liberty Chapel Memorial Fund.
