Dallas Daniel Bowers, son of the late Samuel and Catherine (Metzgar) Bowers, was brn in Henry County, O. on Sept. 1, 1871, and departed this life at his home in Liberty Center on Aprl 2I, 1959 at about 5 a.m.
Mr. Bowers had been in failing health for some time but was able to be about and attend church regularly as had been his habit and custom.
He was united in marriage with Myrtle Huston on Dec. 15, 1893, and to this union were born three children, who survive. This companion died at the age of 31 years, and later on Jan. 16, 1908, he was united in marriage with Grace Foncanon and to this union was born one daughter, Florence. She died in 1944 and the companion of 46 years died on May 4, 1953.
Mr. Bowers lived in the Liberty Center vicinity since boyhood and was a member of the Methodist Church and the Free and Accepted Order of Masonry and the Eastern Stars.
Mr. Bowers was retired, but for many years operated a grocery store in Liberty Center.
He will be sadly missed as a resident of the community, but we can rejoice that he took his departure in the evening of his life with such calm and fortitude. The morning hours in the day of his departure opened up a whole new field of thought and activity for

Surviving his departure are the three children, Mrs. Charles (Leone) Hudson, Sherwood; Mrs. Cyril (Garnet) Ernst, Liberty Center, and Lawrence R. Bowers, Napoleon; six grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
Services were conducted from the Walter Funeral Home in Liberty Center on Thursday, April 23, 1969 at 2 o'clock with the Rev. David L. Eichar, pastor of the Methodist Church; officiating.
