Services were held Sunday in the Walter Mortuary for Mrs. Blanche E. Bowers, 86, who died in her home here. She had been in failing health for several years. Burial was in Young's Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. David L. Eichar.
A lifelong resident, she was a member of the Methodist Church and had helped to organize the Pythian Sisters chapter here. She and her husband, Walter, observed their 66th wedding anniversary in June.
Surviving also are sons, Clarence and Everett, both of Liberty Center; sister, Mrs. Marguerite Linhart, Toledo; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Obituary
Blanche E. (Lamb) Bowers was born April 2, 1872 in Liberty Center and departed this life following an extended illness at her home where they had resided for many years. She had attained the age of 80 years, three months and 27 days. Mrs. Bowers passed away Thursday evening, July 24.
She was united in marriage with Walter Bowers on June 5, 1892, and to this union were born two sons, Clarence and Everett, both of Liberty Center. The couple had observed their 66th wedding anniversary in June.
She was one of the organizers of the Pythian Sisters of Liberty Center and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Besides the above named survivors, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Marguerite Linhart of Toledo; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted from Walter's Funeral Home on Sunday, July 27 at 2 p.m. with David L. Eichar, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Young's Cemetery.
