Mrs. Carl (Lola N. Blair) Bergstrom was born in Liberty Center on April 27, 1896 and departed this life following an extended illness of approximately four years on May 5, 1957, at Clark Summit, Penn. Death was attributod to multiple sclerosis. She was the only daughter of Deward and Jennie (Graner) Blair. During her illness she was of a cheerful and thoughtful disposition and about two weeks ago her condition grew steadily worse and the disease is a serious progressive ailment for which medical science is seeking a cure.
Lola (Mrs. Bergstrom.) was always thoughtful of others' needs and was interested in the care of aged people and children. She had a spirit of cooperation and work which showed her sympathetic nature and attention to those which she felt needed held and aid. She bore her own infirmities well and showed patience to those caring for her.
She was instrumental in organizing the Matron’s Club and several other groups in other places. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Clark Summit and the Order of the Eastern Stars.
Those surviving her departure include the husband, Carl, three children by a previous marriage, two sons, Lawrence Matthews, Liberty Center, O., Robert Smith, Washington D. C.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary Jean) Richardson, Port Lawton, Washington; an adopted daughter, Cecile Bergstrom and mother, Mrs. Jennie Blair of Liberty Center, O., and five grandchilden, Robert and Sue Richardson, Donna Lee Smith, Robert and James Matthews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services from Walter's Mortuary Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial in the Young’s Cemetery.
