IN MEMORIAM
FRANK EDMOND BEILHARZ
Frank Edmond Beilharz, only son of Lewis A. and Martha T. Beilharz, was born at Tiffin, Ohio, March 14, 1857, and died at his home in Liberty Center, O., April 24, 1918, aged 61 years, 1 month and 10 days.
Deceased moved with his parents to Henry county, where he has since resided. He was united in marriage with Emma C. Hales June 4, 1878, and to them were born three sons, Herbert L., Louis V., and Roy A. He had two sisters, one of which died in infancy, the other, Mary Louisa Shaw, died July 30, 1881, aged 30 years. He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, three children, ten grandchildren and a host of warm friends. He was a charter member of Tioga Lodge K. of P., Liberty Center, Ohio.
Mr. Beilharz was a kind and faithful husband and father. For forty years he walked beside her whom he so dearly loved, bearing the burdens and sharing the joys of life together. The time comes when the best of friends must part and say goodbye. It is hard to give them up, and it is only by God’s help and grace that we can say ‘Lord, Thy will be done.’ May He who had compassion upon the multitude and supplied their needs, have compassion upon her whose heart is broken with sorrow and grief and comfort her. Long ago Christ promised not to leave his disciples comfortless. ‘I will come to you.’ Blessed promise. On the sermon on the mount He said ‘Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.’ Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. He will never leave or forsake any who put their trust in Him. He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think.
Mr. Beilharz did not belong to any church, yet he had faith in God and believed in a hereafter. Some time ago he saw the need of a Saviour and desired to become a Christian. We believe that his soul now rests in peace.
He was a good father, very much interested in his children and ready to make any sacrifice for them. His one desire was to see them do good and live right. His fatherly council will long be remembered. Deceased was a faithful member of the K. of P. Lodge, always ready to do his part. He was held in the highest esteem and will be greatly missed. As a citizen of our town we can say truthfully that he was among the best. He was always charitable and ready and willing to help the needy. He was well known and had many friends. His untimely death is a shock to to the community.
The stricken family has the heartfelt sympathy of all their friends and neighbors. Our earnest prayer is that God will abundantly sustain and strengthen them in this their, time of sorrow.
Rev. H. D. Wickens.
