Burl J. Beavers, 57, Liberty Center, died Monday morning in his home.
He was born July 8,1917 in Grelton, the son of Clyde and Golda (Dull) Beavers.
The deceased was a carpenter and a member of the Carpenter’s Local Union in Toledo. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Liberty Center, the D.A.V. in Napoleon, the Liberty Center Fire Department, the Liberty Center United Methodist Church and a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; his mother, Mrs. Golda Wilcox, Liberty Center; two sons, Norman, Napoleon, and Bryce, at home; one stepson, Lamont Wiley, Napoleon; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Charolette) Doty, Liberty Center, and Mrs. Marvin (Patricia) Schwiebert, Hamler; two brothers, Samuel, Liberty Center, and Ralph, Wauseon; one sister, Mrs. Willfam (Dorothy) Young, Delta; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, with Reverend Joseph Burnett officiating. Interment will be in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
The Odd Fellows of Liberty Center will conduct memorial services on Wednesday at 8 p.m., followed by services of the Henry County Firemen’s Association.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The family suggest that memorials may be made to the Heart Association.
