Cora Estella Yarnell, eldest daughter of Charles and Rosa Yarnell, was born in Freedom township, Henry county, on Jan. 20, 1875, and departed this life Feb. 24,1948, at her home near Liberty Center at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 5 days.
On Sept. 19, 1894, she was united in marriage to Frank Wagner, and to this union were born seven children. Death claimed her campanion on Nov. 4, 1910.
On Nov. 19, 1915, she was united in marriage to Frank Bare. To this union were born twin daughters. Five children have preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bare was converted in the Bethany U. B. church while still a young girl and was faithful to her lord until her death. She held her membership at Victory Chapel for over 48 years. She was the first president of the WMA and was vice president at the time of her death. She was active until her health began to fail some months ago.
She leaves to mourn: her husband, Frank Bare; 4 daughters, Mrs. Mildred Durham, Mrs. Gertrude Durham, Mrs. Denilda Mengerink, Mrs. Luella Patrick; ten grandchildren, Elwin Gee, Bowling Green; Darrell Gee, North Baltimore; Arleen Weaks, Paul Clapp, Liberty Center; Larry, Kenneth and Buddy Durham, Florida; Jimmy and Richard Mengerink, Napoleon, and Doyle Dean Patrick, of Napoleon; one great-grandson, Dwight Gee, of Bowling Green; one sister, Mrs. Belle Doriot, of Fayette; one brother, Ray Yamell, of Delta; besides a host of relative, friends and neighbors.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. by Rev. A. J. Steinke in the Victory Chapel. Rev. D. E. Fredrick of Waldron, Mich., assisted.Interment was in Young’s cemetery at Liberty Center.
