Cleo L. Bard, 71, retired Liberty Center school teacher, died at Piqua Memorial Hospital at 6:50 am today (Thursday).
Born in Troy, October 6, 1899, he was the son of Charles and Daisy (Pence) Bard. He was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, a graduate of Defiance College, a member of the National, Ohio and local education associations. He retired in 1968 after teaching 42 years.
Surviving are his wife Helen (Heilman); one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Aunalee) Meister, Liberty Center; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Ionah) Pearson, Piqua, Mrs. R. O. (Eunice) Starr, Piqua, Mrs. Earl (Jessie) Perigo, Miami, Florida; five grandchildren.
