Alfred Bannister, son of Hiram and Minerva Bannister, was born Aug. 28, 1885, in Weston, O.. and departed this life on Sept. 14, 1950, at the age of 65 years and 16 days. He was baptized in the church at Weston, in which town he made his home until the last 32 years.
He was united in marriage to Eva Saul of Liberty Center, O., Sept. 16, 1916, and to this union were born four daughters and one son. Thirty-two years ago he moved to Liberty Center with his family, where they resided at the time of his death. He joined the Lutheran church and his family in the Lutheran faith.
He was employed at the Campbell Soup Co. of Napoleon for 8 years, where he was a willing worker, well liked by his employers and fellow workers.
He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, Eva; children, Mrs. Vernon Hoffman, Mrs. Virgil Nye, Charles, Mrs. John McLaughlin, Mrs. Charles Thomas, and an adopted daughter, Carolyn; 21 grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Mizer of Bowling Green and Mrs. Debby Irwin of Weston. His parents and five brothers preceded him in death.
