A funeral Mass for Richard C. Baker, 19, will he conducted Tuesday, 10 a.m., at St. John's Episcopal Church, Napoleon. The Reverends James Trautwein and Eugene Geromel will co-officiate, and interment will follow in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Rich, of 215 Orchard Lane, Napoleon, died Saturday in the four-fatality plane crash in Bowling Green. He was born October 12, 1962, in Toledo, to Henry County Schools Superintendent Robert Baker and the former Janet Yarolin.
Survivors include his parents; three sisters, Linda, Toledo, and Carol and Jennifer, both at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Yarolin, South Euclid, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baker, Liberty Center.
Rich was a freshman computer science student at Bowling Green State University. He was a 1981 graduate of Napoleon High School and a member of last year's NHS state championship basketball team. He had also run cross country and was a member of KYBO Athletic Club, Varsity N Club and the speech team.
Friends may call today from 2 to 9 p.m. at Walker Mortuary. The family suggests any memorials be made to the Robert Baker family for a scholarship fund to be established later.
