Funeral services were held Thursday at the Walker Mortuary in Napoleon for Rollie M. Babcock, 75, of Route 1, Liberty Center. Mr. Babcock died Tuesday morning, August 5, in Heller Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
A retired farmer, he was born September 28, 1893, in Fulton County, the son of George and Myra (Crosby) Babcock.
He was preceded in death by one son, Warren, in 1940.
Rev. Isaac Johnston, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Young Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Emma; one son, Orville, Route 6, Defiance; five daughters, Mrs. Frank (Vernice) Diller, Rhodes, Mich., Mrs. Lawrence (Lena) Lange, Napoleon, Mrs. Clifford (Marie) Keeler, Sylvania, Mrs. Lawrence (Coral) Kessler, Route 1, Liberty Center, Mrs. Clint (Joan) Williams, Route 2, Napoleon; one brother, Russell Babcock, Mt. Clemens, Michigan; 23 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
