Emma Babcock, 94, of rural Liberty Center died Sunday morning at Northcrest Nursing Home.
She was born in Traskwood, Arkansas, on November 30, 1890, to Albert and Betty (Crowell) Quantz. She married Rollie M. Babcock on December 18, 1913, and he preceded her in death on August 5, 1969.
Mrs. Babcock had been a packer for McCord Corporation in Wauseon. She was a member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church and its women’s group.
Surviving are one son, Orville of Ayersville; five daughters, Mrs. Frank (Vernice) Deller, Rhodes, Michigan; Mrs. Lawrence (Lena) Lange and Mrs. Clint (Joan) Williams, both of Napoleon; Mrs. Marie Keeler, Sylvania, and Mrs. Lawrence (Coral) Kessler, Liberty Center; 23 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Warren, preceded her in death.
Services will be conducted Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., at Croll-Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center. The Reverend Roselin Runnels will officiate, and burial will be in Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and after 2 p.m. Tuesday. The family suggests any memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
