Lelah Yarnell, youngest daughter of Philip and Elma Yarnell was born in Freedom Township, Henry County, Ohio, March 30, 1886, and passed away at the home of her parents in Napoleon, Saturday September 23, 1910, aged 30 years, 5 months and 22 days.
She was united in marriage with Frank Anspach June 5, 1910. To this union was born two daughters, who together with her parents, husband, brother and many other loving relatives and a host of friends, remain to mourn her untimely departure. Lelah united with St. John’s Reformed church at Liberty Center, in 1913, under the pastorate of Rev. E. E. Martz, and has always lived a consistent Christian life.
After the birth of her little daughter last spring she was stricken with that dread foe tuberculosis, and in spite of the best medical attention, and the kind and loving care of her husband and parents, it was of no avail. She bore her suffering patiently and cheerfully, meeting all inquiries as to her condition with a smile. Those who knew her best, loved her deepest.
Funeral services were held at Liberty Center, O., Tuesday, September 27, 1916, conducted by Rev W. A. AIspach, of Lima. Services at the grave were conducted by the Rebeckahs, of which order she was a member.
The family extend their thanks to those who assisted during the sickness and death of their loved one. To friends for the beautiful floral offerings, to the choir for music and to Rev. Alspach for his comforting words.
