Eugenia M. Ankney, 53, Liberty Center, died unexpectedly Saturday evening while visiting at a friend’s home in Napoleon,
Born May 1, 1928, in Stryker she was the daughter of Clifford and Florence (Coy) Figgins. On August 14, 1948, she married Melvin Ankney, and he survives.
Mrs. Ankney had been an inspector for Wauseon Manufacturing Company for 15 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Liberty Center Wesleyan Church.
Surviving, besides her husband are her mother, Florence Gonther, Bryan; three daughters. Mrs. James (Vickie) Carpenter, Edgerton, Mrs. Roger (Phyllis) Irelan, Liberty Center, and Mrs. Larry (Mary) Torres, Milton Center; four sons, Mike, Dennie, Eddie and Chuck, all of Liberty Center; three brothers, Wayne, Bob and Lowell, all of Bryan; a sister Mrs. Bernard (Brenita) Pardee, Bryan; and 15 grandchildren.
Servic will be conducted Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at the church. The Reverend Philip Parks will officiate, and burial will be in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. tonight and Tuesday afternoon and evening at Croll-Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center.
