Yocom Family

John Yocom was born in 1790 in Pennsylvania. He had the following family that is known to present descendants.

William Yocom was born in 1810 and married Sarah Dopp. Samuel Yocom was born in 1812 and married Mary Skandish. James Yocom was born in 1816 and married Mary Jane Ash. Erasmus Yocom was born in 1819 and married Margaret Flickinger.

Samuel Yocom, born 1816 in Pennsylvania, died in June, 1882. His wife, Mary Skandish, was born in 1811 in Pennsylvania and died on April 8, 1884. They had three children who died in infancy, sex and names unknown. Sarah Emma married John Forsythe and they had two children. Sarah died at the age of twenty-eight years. John Yocom married Susanna Amanda Hartman, and George B. Yocom married Rebecca Soles. John was the only child who left the area and moved to Henry County, Ohio.
