Marlowe and Barbara Witt are attorneys at law in Napoleon, Ohio, having started practice together in Napoleon in 1946 after Mr. Witt was released from the Army and finishing his last year of Law School. Barbara Witt, the former Barbara Avery, had practiced law with her father in the firm of Harrington & Avery in Bowling Green, Ohio from 1944 until her marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Witt are the parents of four children. Terry Lynn Witt, graduate of Hanover College, Hanover, Indiana, teaches first grade in the Napoleon School System; Marlowe R. Witt, graduate of University of Cincinnati, is, with I.B.M. in Cincinnati, Ohio; Candace Ann Laux, graduate of Ashland College, Ashland, Ohio, is married to Philip Laux, Worthington, Ohio, and they live in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she teaches school and he is with I.B.M.; and Dudley A. Witt, who is presently a sophomore at Wake Forest University, Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Mr. and Mrs. Witt live at 1002 Fairview Drive in Napoleon. Mr. Witt is a graduate of Marion Harding High School, Marion, Ohio, and Ohio Northern University Law School, Ada, Ohio, with a J.D. degree. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge, O.E.S., founder and past president of the Rotary Club of Napoleon, Ohio, and a life member of the Z.A.E. fraternity.
Mr. Witt served with the 56 F.A., 8th Div. of the U.S. Army for 5 years both in this country and the European theater during World War II. He was released in 1945 from the Army with the rank of Captain. He also served as Prosecuting Attorney of Henry County, Ohio for two and one half terms and as City Solicitor of Napoleon, Ohio from 1961 to 1977.
Mrs. Witt graduated from Bowling Green High School, Bowling Green, Ohio, Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and Alfonso Taft Law School of the University of Cincinnati receiving a B.A. degree and a J.D. degree.
Mrs. Witt is a member of P.A.D. Law Fraternity, Order of the Eastern Star, and a charter member of Soroptomist Club of Napoleon, Ohio.
