David, the second son of Jacob and Elizabeth Mauer Willeman, was born on April 30, 1818, in Blair County, Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth McKee, a daughter of Thomas and M. McKee, in Blair County; Elizabeth was born in 1820.
At one time the McKee's lived at Cherry Tree, Indiana, as Elizabeth's letter of dismissal came from the Cherry Tree Presbyterian Church when she transferred church membership to the First Congregational Church of Ridgeville.
David and Elizabeth were married on August 3, 1842, in Pennsylvania, and came to Ridgeville Township, Henry Couhty, Ohio, in 1845.
Their first child, Mary Willeman, was born on May 28, 1844, in Blair County, and died on Election day in the fall of 1868. She married Al Deselm and had two children.
The third child, William Sherman, was born in 1845, shortly before his parents left Pennsylvania for Ohio.
The first child born in Ohio to David and Elizabeth Willeman was Thomas McKee Willeman who was born on August 7, 1847 and was one of the first children baptized at the First Congregational Church of Ridgeville on September 26, 1847.
The next child born was Jacob Martin Willeman. He was born on April 28, 1849 and died on December 4, 1904. He married Flora Houser and had two children. Bessie was born in 1879 and married Rufus Betts.
Rebecca Jane Willeman was born on May 29, 1851, and married Smith Hadley on February 7, 1879. She had three children.
Emma Elizabeth Willeman was born on April 21, 1853, and married Jeremiah Grice, a son of Howard Grice, on June 14, 1879. They had seven children.
Lucia (Lucy) Catharine Willeman was born on November 8, 1856, and died in 1925.
Abbe Margaret Willeman was born on February 28, 1858, and married Coe Clemmens on March 30, 1880, and died on October 26, 1884, in Defiance County.
Sarah (Hattie) Willeman was born on February 13, 1860, and married George Pattes on June 2, 1876, and had five children.
Mary Willeman married Lewis Hamblin on February 28, 1862, and died on December 10, 1874.
Thomas McKee Willeman married Alice McIntosh on March 18, 1874, in the Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, Methodist Church.
