William Weible Family

The William Weible family apparently immigrated from Pennsylvania in the 1850's. The 1850 Census show them as William, age 61, born Pennsylvania; his wife, Hannah, age 58, born Pennsylvania; and Samuel, age 18, born Pennsylvania.

A large family Bible contains the information, dated 1851, concerning deaths, by dysentery, of several members of the family.

Hannah Weible was born on August 15, and died on August 21, death year of 1851. She was fifty-nine years old.

Samuel Weible was born in August, died on August 20, 1851, aged nineteen years.

Edward Weible died in 1851, was eight years, seven months, and ten days old.

Joseph Weible died on September 5, 1851, and was ten months and twelve days old.

William and Hannah Weible were the parents of Priscilla Weible who married John Sidlinger in 1844.

The Bible writing is almost illegible having been written in German script on the inside front cover.

The families of John Sidlinger, Priscilla Weible, Frederick Leonhardt and Catherine Ubel were ancestors of Virginia Sidlinger Gustafson Foster, now living in Alliance, Nebraska. Virginia now owns the Weible family Bible.
