Isaac Booram, son of John and Elizabeth Paulding Booram, was born in 1802 in New Jersey. His mother, Elizabeth, was a sister to John Paulding who captured Major Andre in the Revolutionary War.
Isaac married Nancy Horr, daughter of Isaac and Nancy Horr, who was born in New York in 1809. They were married at Norwalk, Ohio, in 1835 and came to Henry County in 1844. Isaac died of typhoid fever at Pea Ridge in March, 1864, while a member of the 68th Ohio Volunteer Infantry.
The children of Isaac and Nancy Booram were Eleanor and Althea, died in childhood; Isaac H. died in 1862 while serving in the 68th O.V.I.; Mary J.; and John B. Booram.
John B. Booram was siad to be the tallest man in Ohio in 1875. He was thirty years old, weighed 230 pounds, and was six feet eight inches tall. His brother, Isaac, was almost as tall.
