Theisen and Hildred Lumber Company

Partners in the firm of Theisen and Hildred Lumber Company were John Theisen and George Hildred.

John Theisen was born in 1834 in Prussia and came to Napoleon in 1864. He commenced a lumber business at that time.

George Hildred was born in 1838 in Lincolnshire, England and arrived in Napoleon in 1862. It isn't certain just when the firm of Theisen and Hildred became a reality but in 1877 they were listed as manufacturers of lumber, lath, shingles, sash, doors, blinds and windows.

John Theisen was once a mayor of Napoleon, Ohio.
