Dietrich Struble was born in Alsace Lorain, Germany and landed at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 5, 1748. In 1770, he moved to New Jersey, then to West Branch, Pennsylvania. He fathered twelve children, among them were Daniel, George, Leonard, and Peter. Dietrich lived to be one hundred and one years old.
Son, Daniel Struble, was a soldier of the Revolutionary War, 1779-80. Son, George Struble, history is with the Rev. George Struble family that is in this book. George and his wife moved to Trumbull County, Ohio, in 1812.
Johann Diedrich Struble came with father from Alsace Lorain, Germany and landed in Philadelphia. In 1748, he located at Patterson, New Jersey, married, had eleven children, and several sons served during the Revolutionary War. Among his children was Leonard, 1741-1805, who lived in Newton Township, in New Jersey, near Patterson, and married and had nine children. His son, Anthony Struble, 17681831, married Mary Kays and had twelve children, and resided at Patterson, New Jersey. His son, David, the fourth child, married Hannah Wood- hall in Trumbull County, Ohio. David had moved to Trumbull (Hubbard) Count}' in April, 1834, with his uncle, David Kays. David and Hannah's son, Martin, was born April 1, 1825 and died June 5, 1918. He lived in Williams County, Ohio, in 1850, and married Rebecca Frazer, daughter of Hugh and Mary Frazer of Hubbard, Ohio. Martin was born in Sussex County, New Jersey. David and Hannah Struble also had a son, Samuel.
Martin Struble married Rebecca Frazer on August 25, 1852. He served in the Civil War. At the age of sixty- two he moved to Bryan, Ohio, from Defiance County, Ohio. He died January 5, 1918, and Rebecca died on June 19, 1871. They had seven children. Mary, Ella, and Alice died as infants.
Charles E., 1853-1948, married Harriet L. Hartshorn and had C. Guy and Grace Struble. Edwin Billings Struble was born in 1862 and died in 1894. He married Mary Struble in 1886 and they had Hugh and LeRoy. Julia Florence Struble, who died in 1962, never married. David Emerson Struble, 1859-1937, married Dora Estella Neil, 1865-1947, on April 14, 1889. They had nine children.
Binnie Elnor was born in 1890 and married Arthur Schamp. They had David Jerome, Doralee Jane, who married Theodore Agayoff, and Richard Martin who married Shirley Chase.
Perry Oren Struble married Ethel Maag and had Helen who married Robert Sprow. She was divorced. Richard Ellis Struble married Doreen Flynn.
Martin Neil Struble married Olvice Ginther. And the last child, Essie May Struble married Walter Connolly.
Binnie was born in 1890, Perry in 1891, Martin in 1893, and Essie in 1895.
