Boyd Shively Family

James Boyd Shively is the third child of Parlee and Mary Mae Shively. He was born July 12, 1912. He graduated from Westhope School in 1930. He worked on road construction for several years. On May 30, 1936 he married Doris Helen Wilcox, daughter of Harl and Chloe Wilcox. She was born at McClure on July 29, 1916.

After the death of his father, Boyd and Helen went to live on the farm north of McClure. Here they have lived and raised their two sons. Richard, the older son lives in Cleveland and teaches in North Olmstead. Gary, the younger son and his wife Candy live in North Canton, Ohio with their four children: Scott, Greg, and twins Jaime Michelle and Jeffrey Michael.
